Famous men in science and jihad fields are like the flowing rivers which are current all the time and for the whole centuries and run in a clean and genuine hearts that search for the truth. The people who have passed the limited nature and linked to the skies, surely, these are loud songs which resonance our ears. This memorial is a glance at the life of the struggle men of this tribe. A great man of a caravan that loves devotedness and Velayat. An awarded man from the land of martyrdom and ascension. A favor from the clan of magic, aurora and shore. A man whom Imam Rahel liked very much and considered him as a clear sample of … Ayatollah Ashrafi Esfahani, the magnanimous martyr, was the fourth thoughtful individual who drank the sherbet of martyrdom and joined the swarm of martyrs. It is a principal to speak and remember these dear friends for the martyr Foundation. For appreciating the remembrance of these zealous warriors, we explain some parts of his constructive and useful life in summary. Ayatollah Ashrafi Isfahani was born in a sacred family in Khomeinishahr County called Sedeh in Isfahan in 1900. His late father, Hojatollah Mirza Asadolah was a clergy and his grandfather, the late Hojat-Ol-Islam Mirzajafar and most of his ancestors were known Ulemas and great clergies and the family leads to one of the Ulemas in Jabal Amel who accepted Islam at the beginning of development, because of the influences Ayatollah of Abuzar. Martyr ayatollah Haj Agha Ayatollah Ashrafi Isfahani passed the elementary courses in Islamic Sciences at Mirza Mustafa in the town of Khomein and traveled to Isfahan when he was twelve years old and continued studying Islamic courses in Nurieh School. He learned the literature and Sath units under supervision of great instructors such as Ayatolah Fesharaki and the late Haj Sayed Mehdi Dorchei in Islamic Research Center in Isfahan. Till he was studying Kharej course he was living poorly to the extent that he didn’t even have a book himself. After he passed some courses in Sath, Islamic philosophy and noble during ten years of continuous studying, at the age of 22, he left Isfahan and chose the Islamic Center in the city of Qom to carry on his studies on the base of his friends’ insistence. After the death of the late Ayatollah Haer, he followed his studies under supervision of the great professors such as the late Ayatollah Hojat, the late Ayatollah Sadr and the late Ayatollah Haj Sayed Mohammad Taghi Khansari. During that time, the tuitions weren’t as usual and sometimes he did not earn any money. The late Ayatollah Khansari who was very kind to him was paid about 15 to 20 Rials by Ayatollah Shahid Sadughi. In addition, at this period he learned science from the late Ayatollah Feiz. Most of his studies were obtained from the lessons of the late Ayatollah Hojat and Khansari and the booklets of the whole subjects of these two profoundly honored teachers are now at his library. The late martyr Ayatollah Ashrafi Isfahani was one of the most well known students of Ayatollah Boroujerdi and he took part in most of his classes in Qom and it lasted for about 12 years .Besides ,he was taught 8 parts of metaphysics and philosophy by Imam Khomeini . The fourth martyr of prayer Altar lived in a crypt (Hojre) in the Feizieh School in Qom. He was frequently awake the whole night was studying. At all these times, he never forgot his night prayers to God and it should be mentioned in extreme cold weather at midnight in winter he broke the ice in the pool in Feizieh School, performing his ablutions and doing nocturnal prayer. He was going to His Excellency Masoomeh (S) Mosque to perform Morning Prayer and usually reading Kabir Society or hear prayer books. Martyr Ayatollah Ashrafi Isfahani had been reading the Imam Hossein Ashura prayer book each day for about 60 years from age of 20 till martyrdom. He taught the advanced courses of Jeldin Kafayeh, Rasel and Makaseb to the school of divines. Since he was respected very much by the scientists and masters of the Qom Islamic Center, he was ordered to test the scholars in that center by Ayatollah Alozma Boroujerdi and other teachers of Qom Islamic Center and he was a distinct examinee for 3 years in that school. At the age of fourty, he was given religious proficiency in Islam by the late Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Taghi Khansari and he got 8 to 9 permissions for religious leadership from great scientists such as Ayatollah Feiz, Ayatollah Sadr, Seyed Abolhasan Isfahani and Ayatolah Boroujerdi. In 1956, he arranged the late Ayatollah martyr Ashrafi Isfahani and the late Ayatollah Sedehi ,Haj Sheikh Abdol Javad Jabal Ameli, Hojat-al-Islam Falsaphi and 25 individuals of other school's divines of Qom went to Kermanshah and tried to develop Islamic Sciences there. And when Ayatollah Ashrafi Isfahani wanted to return to Qom, the people of Kermanshah opposed it so in spite of all the difficulties of living in Kermanshah for spiritual reason he decided to stay there and asked people to follow Imam Omat. He was appointed as Imam’s representative in Kermanshah. Pahlavi ominous regime tried to banish him because of his continuous day and night activities but as a result of his great influence with Kermanshah’s citizens and the bond between he and the people they weren’t successful. He was threatened several times by the government and arrested many times by Savak (the security forces) and secret police. But what they did could not influence his activities. After the martyrdom of Imam’s son and triumph of the Islamic Revolution by the leadership of Imam Khomeini, the great and outstanding leader, accompanied by other thoughtful divines of Kermanshah by setting sanctuaries mobilizing the Moslems and often marching in Ayatollah Boroujerdi's Mosque, he had a great role. The Savak security forces arrested and transferred him to Tehran at night when Imam E Omat had migrated from Iraq to Paris, tortured him in the police prison until he became ill and Savak's feared of him being martyred and on the other hand the pressure from other religious leaders, freed him. Shortly after Imam Khomeini arrived in Iran, he and some of the Kermanshah leaders with a great number of the inhabitants of this province came to Tehran to see Imam and sat in the mosque of university since all the airports were occupied by the Bakhtiyar mercenaries to prevent Imam Khomeini from entering the country. After Islamic Revolution in 1979 he was appointed as a Friday prayer leader of Kermanshah by Imam Khomeini and then in this position he kept watching the outcomes of revolution and supporting Velayat Faghih. He struggled against all kinds of aberrations and distortions .By the beginning of imposed war of Iraq against Iran; he tried to be in the warfronts and visit Islam combatants and appreciate them. During these years Ayatollah Ashrafi Isfahani devoted all his speeches to the matters relating to the war and encouraged the people to defend the Islamic Revolution attend at the front and he himself wore the uniform of revolutionary guard and registered in the Almahdi phalanx. He also went to Kermanshah after the city was freed and attended with other warriors in the mosque of Kermanshah to thank and pray to God. •His Excellency Ayatollah Ashrafi Isfahani : We hope to be the fourth Imam Khomeini in the words of prayer Altar martyr … When we departed to Najaf at the presence of the late Ayatollah Hakim, we found this great man (Imam Khomeini) against sensualists and no one denies it. And in fact I didn’t know anyone like Imam in this matter. In my opinion, one of the Islamic scientists who had remarkable eager to Imam (PBUH) was the late Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Taghi Khansari. I remember when Imam Khomeini was leading the nation, arriving Ayatollah Khansari, he refused to pray to God in front of him, and stood in the rear lines. In today’s life, his dignity, and degree of science in Imam is reasonably unique. If it is God's will, we'll gain some of his features too. We consider (Imam Khomeini) as our Imam. Imam in Koran is the man who lets the people go to heaven or hell. The man who had never imagined being Imam of the nation in his life time. •Martyr Mohammad Boroujerdi’s view about the fourth Martyr’s of prayer Altar In the name of God, the compassionate, the merciful. I was at his service for more than two years and was familiar with him. That is to say the whole time I was in Bakhtaran I knew him. Naturally regarding the difficulties there, I wasn’t able to serve him well and take advantage of being with him but anytime I met him, watching his deep spiritual dignity, would reinforce our beliefs too, and the issues that had been said by him were signs of profound wisdom in him. When they wanted to explain Sadam’s fate and his genotypes, he gave us a lot of delicate and tight examples of the God’s never-ending power and how God will sweep away these people in history and place their destiny as a sign for us. In political subjects, he drew his attention to Imam’s speech completely out of ordering him on materialistic thoughts and always asked to do and said absolutely according to Imam’s request and insistency. Although Ayatollah Ashrafi Isfahani was more than eighty years old when he had young morals .During his lectures he shook since he was very old. However, he spoke so strictly that it seemed a young man was speaking and nothing was threatening him. I have rarely seen a man live as simple as he did. He wasn’t wealthy especially during the time I knew him. I am certainly not eligible to speak about this great religious leader but it is clear that he was one of five outstanding clerics and scientists who let the people know about the deviations and corruptions, and four of them were martyred in the prayer Altar so far. •Some parts of Imam Khomeini’s message about Ayat's martyrdom In the name of God, the compassionate, the merciful We are all from soil and we all return to it. How they are beautiful since they served Islam and Moslems their entire life and at the end … How lucky they were, to regenerate themselves for the lifespan and to finish their lives in the holy goal and join the martyrs of God. And dreary martyr of Friday prayer Altar was one of the men who I respected very much. I knew this obligated and prolific figure for about sixty years. The late great martyr His Excelency Hojat Islam Val Moslemin Haj Agha Ayatollah Ashrafi was well known for his sincerity, calmness, clean heart and character of a monk, dutiful to God with good manners and simultaneously he was a devotee, obligated with strong morals. Young warriors loved him because of his efforts in defending human rights and his death was a great sorrow for the religious society. We wish that God regard him as the martyr of Karbala and curse on the murderers of such men. Endless shame on those who took this religious man, who didn’t even bother an ant, from our nation, which proved them to be more detested and criminal than before. This great man joined other regarded martyrs and the whole nation and our armed forces will keep on the revolution more decisively and strictly. •Memories Once three of my friends and I lived in a crypt in Nurieh School in Isfahan .We seldom had any tea to drink for days, nor oil and sugar. We studied at nights by the light of oil burners of the school restrooms. We went to a remote mosque in Isfahan every Friday and reviewed the lessons taught weekly from morning to evening. Our food was just some fried corn beans after twelve hours of continuous studying there. •Second sample I had a roommate in Razavieh School in Qom for a while. He had a good income and always ate hot meals but I wasn’t able to do the same. During the time we were together he never noticed when I ate dinner and lunch .I put a piece of bread beside my book so that he couldn’t see it and ate it as I studied but when it was his turn to eat ,he prepared a hot cooked meal and offered me some too. I responded that I have eaten already. The martyr of prayer Altar departed to Qom to continue his studies when he was 20. He inhabited for a year in Razavieh School and then went to Feizieh School and was there for about twenty two years. He met his family only three or four months in twenty three years of his residency in Qom and was alone for the rest of the time. Poverty was the main reason for his isolation. He was not even able to rent a room and so the martyr would go to visit his children and family two or three days in a month. The time they were three, I mean the late Ayatollah Hojat and the late Ayatollah the late Ayatollah Sadr and the late Ayatollah Khansari, they all bought a piece of bread and paid 15 Rials. I who wasn’t in that list and earned 25 Rials per month and nothing left for the next month. The late Ayatollah Khansari was very sincere to me and paid 15 to 20 Rials to Ayatollah Sadughi to give to me for the month, and I had no fee to pay. Our life was in such a way that I drank tea once a week and ate undesirable rice on Friday nights and we had warm food just once a week and the rest of the time we had a simple ready made food such as cheese and cookies. Of course, this condition had no influence on our morale, quite in opposite, it made us more serious in studying .I remember I reviewed the lessons on Thursday and Friday in Isfahan .I had a small room located on an angle. I hung a curtain in front of the entry so that it seemed like I was asleep. I sometimes read the lessons from morning to night and occasionally went to a faraway mosque to study in daytime. •Some parts of the fourth martyr of prayer Altar interview In Islam nothing is more superior than martyrdom, since in some parts of Koran God prescribes to the prophet Mohammad not to suppose the martyrs of God, who lost their lives for their beliefs, to be dead, these people have dealt with God and chose the permanent life instead of limited earthly beings and have given their heart to get endless lives. They are alive. All will die except martyrs and they will become alive on the last day by the weapons they used against the enemies. Those weapons are testimonies that they lost their lives for God. In the prayers of month of Ramadan the value of these activities will be revealed at the presence of God ….and the servants of God will ask God and he will reply…. Some of the believers promise to grant their lives for God, and some adhere to their agreement, and others are still waiting. I am not qualified myself for martyrdom since not everyone is worth to be martyred. Once I was supposed to be killed by Hypocrisies in Ramadan Month, I was proud of it but it didn’t happen. We resigned our destinies and wish to be the fourth prayer Altar martyr if God accepts it.
