Man instead of dignity;

Even though earth is still mother of all amazements but amazements usually in comparison with their surroundings are still the topic of conversation. At times when something happens in comparison with it's surrounding is when amazement is noticed. Now what is possible is that happening in a society but it does not seem that amazing.

In this situation the rise of a high name like Dr. Mustafa Chamran in the world, is an amazement which disengages all borders and regions in a circumstance of time. One who can travel the shores of science and technology modestly and become fond of the broadest partitions and pass through the mystical shores calmly and still keep the child like innocence in the shores of occupied Palestine and accept all the difficulties of being a soldier in all the combat zones he would never be surrounded by incidents.

He had his life so pure that his face shined in every mirror and his spirit so broad that it could fly to the furthest horizons and stay strong in the most powerful storms. Now that he looks at the uproar of this world, and his kind hands are not shelters for the innocents of Lebanon and Palestine it's us and the path he laid for us. It is us and a memory of his name for today’s and yesterday's generations.

We know preparing and publishing of this diary is never worthy of all this dignity and greatness but without a doubt the protecting days of these shiny memories have passed but it will give a new freshness to his thought always.

Chamran in passing the period;

Dr. Mostafa Chamran was born in 1931 in Tehran 15th street the ironworkers bazaar. He began his schooling at Entezarieh and got his diploma at Alborz. He continued his education at the technical school of university of Tehran and he got a degree in electro mechanics in 1336. He was first in class all through his education.

In 1958 he managed to go to the States on a scholarship. After completing his research among some of the most famous scientists in the world he managed to get his PHD in Electronics and Plasma Physics from the University of Berkley.

From the age of 15 he would take Quran classes at the Hedayat mosque from the late Ayatollah Taleghani and also Philosophy from martyr Morteza Motaheri. He was one of the first members of the Islamic centre of The University of Tehran. He was active in politics at Akbar Mosadegh's time from the 14th to the nationalizing of oil. After the shameful cope of August 19th and the fall of DR. Moadegh he joined the Iranian defense group, and his activities against the regime began until the time of his immigration from Iran.

Without getting tired he fought the Shah's regime with everything he had, and successfully completed the most dangerous operation. In the United States with the help of some of his friends for the first time ever he established Islamic centre for American students and for this reason his scholarship was stopped.

After the bloody uprising of 4th of June 1963 along with some of his friends he went to Egypt and for two years during the reign of Abdolnaser he learned all about partisan warfare and was considered one of the best in the group.

Right away he began training Iranian fighters. After the victory of the revolution he returned to Iran and put himself in the service of the revolution.

The positions of deputy Prime minister, defense centre, and member of the Islamic congress were all responsibilities of DR. Chamran.

Face to face with the Falange;

After the death of Abdolnasser, Dr Chamran goes Lebanon to establish a partisan training centre to train the Iranian fighters.

He with the help of Imam Moosa Sadr established the "HOPE" centres on the basis of Islamic traditions so that with all left and right groups at the time he could set them all straight that this is the weapon of God and not violence. He goes to martyrdom Hossein style with his Shiite flag raised he faces the most powerful oppressors of the time. He makes the bloodthirsty rightists of "Falange" shake and leaves memories in the hearts of the needy and Shiite and this honorable fight goes down in history for ever.

Return of the Dr. to Iran;

Dr. Chamran with the glorious victory of the revolution, after years of being away from Iran returns home. He puts all his education and experience at the service of the revolution; calm and relaxed but determined put his mind on building. He begins by putting all his efforts on training the Revolutionary Guard in Saad Abad and after that he takes the job of second to the Prime minister and puts himself in the way of danger all the time in order to put an end to the Kurdistan situation until finally in the "Paveh" incident his bravery is proved to everyone.

The holly defense- Chamran- unorganized wars;

Dr. Chamran after Saddam's unmanly attack to the borders of Iran and their fast assault on the defenseless people in towns and villages could not sit still anymore. With the permission of Imam Ommat along with Ayatollah Khamenei Imam's other representative in the congress went to Ahvaz .Since he always threw himself in the way of danger and had no fear of death he began at once with a partisan anti attack on enemy tanks which were on the offensive a few kilometers from Ahvaz.

A group of volunteer fighters went to him with their training and organization he began the un-organized wars of Ahvaz. This group slowly became experienced and did a lot of good in these wars.

One of his programmers were starting an engineering group that quickly built military roads and with installation of water pumps at the river Karoon and running of a canal which was 20 kilometers long and a100 meters wide which pumped the water towards the enemy tanks until they had to back up and with this move the enemy forgot the occupation of Ahvaz for ever. It was the cooperation of military and people that protected the south west region.

The epic of Susangerd;

After the discouragement of the enemy from occupying Ahvaz, Saddam had his heart set on occupying Susangerd so he could complete his Ghadesieh dream that's why for a second time he attacked that innocent town. For three days enemy tanks had the town surrounded and some even managed to find their way into the town.

Dr. Chamran who was very upset that his friends in the town were surrounded , along with Ayatollah Khamenei organized the army and the people and with a new technique via the Ahvaz Susangerd  road attacked the enemy.

Martyr Chamran had gone ahead of the troops whom he had send another way which made him become surrendered by the enemy, this was when heavy fighting broke out, the enemy commandos kept attacking him from different sides but he kept getting away from them but he was under heavy fire both from the commandos and the tanks and he bravely returned their fire but this is when his friend was killed but he kept attacking with all he had Hossein style until his left leg was hit in two places. Even in this condition with the help of another fighter managed to take an Iraqi truck and get themselves to the Islamic forces. Chamran's heroisms in the mean time gave the forces enough courage to attack the enemy and free Susangerd.

Coronas of love;

He was a man of war:

When the war began he went to the front lines he could not sit in the congress. He went to the Imam and said "we have to fight an unorganized war so our forces have time to prepare and also the enemy won't be able to advance". He went back gathered everyone and said "Get ready we are going to leave any day now"

They asked "The Imam

He said "He has blessed us"

Eighteen the highest score.

In the second year we had a professor who said we all had to wear ties, Chamran had not wore his, at the exam so two points were deducted from him ,"eighteen the highest score".

Ready for martyrdom!

Orders from the command post were "hit the bridge” everyone gathered Dr. didn’t allow them to go he said "the bridge is in direct sight". One morning we got the news the bridge is not there, we went there and it really wasn’t. We got reports that the Dr. and his group had been seen by the river.

This means unorganized war!

They'd say "Chamran is always surrounded” they were right except the enemy did not surround us .Dr would make a plan, we would go into the enemy break them up and come back out.

Red quivers

He was describing the area for the new commander Moghadam Poor. Standing straight like always. Haddadi was with them too. There was three of them; three rockets were going towards them first one 15 meters away, second 7 meters away and the third, right behind Dr's foot. They all fell; I went to see the quivers from the rockets had hit Haddadi in the chest, Moghadan Poor in the face and the Dr. Behind the head.

Martyrdom is near;

On the dawn of 22st of August 1981, Iraj Rosstami the commander of Dehlavieh area was martyred .The Dr. was seriously upset about it. Sadness had taken over everybody.  Some of his close friends were weeping and the rest in shock as if waiting for an earthquake to happen.

Martyr Chamran called another of his commanders to take to Dehlavieh to introduce him around, as they were leaving one of the warriors in a simple and beautiful manner said "this is the day when Hossein's followers one by one become martyred, Abbas Alamdar a hero also became martyred and now he is ready to go to war ". All the rest were saying their goodbyes while they were leaving with teary eyes and sadness in their hearts.

Dr. Chamran the night before in their meeting had given them advice that they had not heard before. Only God knows what is boiling behind that calm and quiet face. All the good friends and warriors he had lost in this war and now he was walking into it. For years, followers he had trained had died before him, and he burned yearning to be martyred, but the great God was testing him, seemed like the harder it got the stronger he walked out of it and he'd say I know things that you don't.

He left towards Susangerd and in the way he met Ayatollah Eshraghi and martyr commander Fallahi. They kissed each other one last time and continued on their ways until they got to Dehlavieh, he gathered everyone behind the town, he said condolences and congratulations for the martyrdom of their commander Iraj Rosstami and with a sad voice and look said "God loved Rosstami and if he loves us too he will take us as well. And how quickly God called upon him."
